UX / IxD (Interactive) Lead Designer

  • My Role

    On the IPM Team I worked with a Technical Lead, Analytics Lead, and a Scrum Master defining specifications for personalization tests; as UX / IxD Lead Designer, I collaborated with a Visual and a Graphic Designer to produce designs iterations and interactions. This was a very small team of 10 people within the Digital Web Marketing organization. We had weekly campaign meetings, design reviews, and analytics meetings alongside of our regular scrum meetings.


    The Goals

    Ultimately the goal of the IPM Team (Intelligent Personalized Marketing) was to analyze experiences, test experiences in A/B or mutltivariate formats, and then analyze data and outcomes to create successful engaging experiences for our users; we targeted audiences based on personas, specific segments, and geos. I produced the interaction design and expereince code delivered thru Adobe Target and Adobe Analytics for Mobile/Tablet/Desktop for HPE.com

    Conference and Virtual Experience

    This event is held annually in Las Vegas and is HPE's premiere of the company's latest technology and features showcase several industry tracks. In 2020 due to COVID-19 the company held the event as a virtual experience. Every year there is a requirement to produce banners, promos, countdown tickers and Livestream video implementation for the Discover Campaigns on HPE.com I produced the interaction design and experience code deliverd through Adobe Target and Adobe Analytics. A/B TEST EXAMPLES

Initially when I joined this team I was the only UX / IxD Designer & Developer; I worked directly with Technical Lead, Analytics Lead, Product Owners, and JM's managing numerous projects from experience design thru prototype phases and into final production of the experiences. There were times when I had 15 to 20 projects on my Kanban board with numerous assets and documents attached for each. I coordinated regular meetings with individual stakeholders and JM's for each project to show progress thoughout the process from beginning to completion. Later due to volume of projects our team handled the team expanded to include a UX Visual Designer and UX Graphic Designer

    Upon the release of the new HPE Hompage in early 2018 our team started running some analytics testing on the page. The VP of Marketing wanted a Demo created to prove the success of the new features along with key statistics

    Experience Design & Development


    Challenge:

    I was approached by a couple people from across the Marketing organization that there was a need for a News & Insights page, however management was receiving many blockers to get this produced through traditional means of the company development process and wouldn't be able to get the requirement on the development team's calendar for 3 plus months.


    Task:

    I was asked to work with various individuals to design and produce the page via code injection through Adobe Target within a 3 to 4 week time frame.


    Action:

    I partnered with the Product Owner, UX Visual Designer, and a Content Strategist to design the page meanwhile preserving company brand and implementing company UX standards for design.


    Result:
